RTErra - Rural Artistic Residences is a welcoming place for Artists and Artistic Projects. Set in a small village in the center of Portugal, favors the exchange of ideas, the experimentation of new concepts, multicultural exchanges and the artists and artworks’s mobility.
It offers a place for research and creation for all artistic disciplines and promotes interaction between them, providing the necessary production for Project’s (individual or collective) development and its presentation to the public either through exhibitions either by creating events. The ARTErra has several public and private partnerships.
The residency gives artists a typically rural ambience, quiet, surrounded by nature and the beauty of the countryside, with the mountains as a background image. Equipped with several studios, black and white box, recording studio, photo studio and a resource center located across from a lovely garden and a small vegetable garden, very close to a space for pets. This residence also features a studio located in the heart of the village, where the artist can inspire yourself and create inserted in the local community.
